Dorin Marc is one of the most successful double bass pedagogues ever. As a Soloist he won prizes at most of the major double bass competitions, he held the principal double bass position of the Munich Philharmonic orchestra and was professor at the university of music in Nürnberg. His students play in all the major symphony orchestras in Germany and Austria, and many have also became professors.In this episode he talks to Dominik (who also was one of his students) about studying and living in Romania, about Josef Prunner, Sergiu Celibidache, the bass and it’s unique strengths and weaknesses, as well as teaching and how it keeps you working and improving constantly.
