It's the unique and exotic that gets me everytime. And sometimes those special places are closer than you think. Maikel Rutgers, Creative Director at de Waarbeek, tells us more about the parks history and future.

#009 - The responsible one
There must be an adult in the room. Always. It's the responsible one. The person that takes care of all the things. Same applies to our attractions. In our daily operation it is necessary to be on site with our guests and staff. But also you should get your work done. Everything that needs to be planned ahead, discussed or organised. Strategic decisions do need time as well. So here it is: The responsible one - for a day. Duty management as a tool for your success?

#007 - Marketing and Operations will never work together
Operations can't do that, Marketing again did this. Both departments seem to be in a constant battle of who annoys the most. But it shouldn't be that way. Berlin, Paris, Brussels. Sorry, i meant: Rust, Bottrop, Kaatsheuvel and Marne-la-Vallée. Europe has so many great offerings in term of leisure attractions, but there is so much more to it. Even utilising different technologies to achieve great results is nothing new. That's how Benoit Cornet figured out, that combining good ideas can make a great product as well. As a former CEO from Belgian manufacturer Alterface he started couple of years ago a new company, but with the same appeal on being innovators for this industry.
