A fall in old age is often more than just a brief moment of shock. It can shake a person’s confidence in their own body. Many people become more cautious afterwards. They walk less. They avoid stairs, uneven paths, and longer distances. This can quickly create a vicious circle: less movement, less strength, poorer balance — and with that, a higher risk of another fall.Falls are common in older age. The Robert Koch Institute reports that in 2022, about one in four people aged 65 and older said they had fallen at least once in the previous twelve months. For people living in care facilities, the risk is even higher.Source: Robert Koch Institute, Cochrane Review on physical activity and fall prevention, study on minimalist shoes and foot strength, Nature Scientific Reports.SOLE RUNNER Online Shop: https://www.sole-runner.com/Wissenswertes um unsere Barfußschuhe: https://www.sole-runner.com/inhalte/WissenswertesYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/@SoleRunnerBarfussInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/solerunner_barefoot_shoes/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/solerunnerminimalfootwearPinterest: https://de.pinterest.com/sole_runner/
