Seven men got into the truck on that mountain. Six of them came back down. His name was Travis Walton. He was twenty-two years old, and he was the one who got out of the truck. What the other six did in the next ninety seconds, and what they told the police that night, opened five days that this case has never closed. This is his account, and the account of the men who were standing there. We follow what Walton described in his 1978 book The Walton Experience, we lay the documented record beside it, the search parties, the sworn statements, the tests all of them were put through, and we let you decide where the line falls. Then a phone rang late at night in Heber, and the voice on the other end was asking to be picked up. What he said had happened in those five days, he has repeated for fifty years.
