He arrived ten days later, so disoriented that he sat in a diner and watched other people to remember how to hold a knife and fork. His name was Alec Newald. His wristwatch had stopped at 10:30 in the morning. So had the clock in his car. He had no memory of where the ten days had gone. What he says happened inside that gap became a book, an investigation, and one man's claim to the ultimate truth about where humanity really came from. By his account, he was taken aboard a vessel by tall blue grey beings with wide violet eyes, guided by one who called herself Zeena. They did not speak. Thoughts arrived in colour and tone, and their counting was built on twelve, not ten. He describes a small dying world called Haven, a place with no money, no animals, and a silence so complete it unsettled him. He even met a human woman who had chosen never to come home. And he says he was shown the reason for all of it. That evolution, in his words, is a myth. That humanity was designed, shaped and watched over by an older race once mistaken for gods.
